Back at School

It was very exciting to see some of Room 14 back in the classroom. We have done a lot of exploring, building boats that float, and using playdough to practise our fractions. I was very happy to see everyone.

Term 3 Week 3 - Maths week

 This week was Maths week. We answered the daily maths question and we talked about how we can use numbers to tell a story. We also wrote maths problems in our Writing books. 

Congratulations to our certificate winners this week - Jamie and Robbie. 

Term 3 Week 2 - Cook Island Language Week & Holiday Reading Log

 This week was Cook Island Language week. We read a story from the Cook Islands Mariri, the Flying Man and we retold this story in our writing. We used some of the words we heard in the story such as clever, brave, explorer, warriors, fell like a stone, and gracefully.

We were also very proud to win the Holiday Reading competition - thank you to everyone for bringing back their Holiday Reading Log.

Term 3 Week 1 - Science in a Van and Art Project

 We started the week off with a push and a pull - Yes - we learnt about Forces through the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Troll. We heard about Push and Pull and Friction. We also learnt that the largest force will always win!

We also started to think about the school Art project and we worked with Sarah working with shapes and blocks.
