The weather held off as the Rimu team (Year 0,1,2) ran their Cross Country. We loved seeing everyone giving it a go and cheering on their friends. Well done to all the Certificate winners and participants - you were amazing! Well done to Toby and Isla who were first and third in their race!

We had a fabulous time at the zoo - the weather was fantastic, and we had a chance to walk around almost the whole zoo. We covered 5.5 km, a great effort by all. The rhino, orangutan, kiwi, Galápagos tortoises were some of our favourites.
We had the Duffy show this week and it was a fantastic performance set during lockdown. The kids all got to see the backstage including props, costumes and sound effects, as well as the actors doing a brilliant job.
In maths we have been looking at groups of (x) and also even numbers. I challenged the class to find or draw something in the class that was an even number. Here are a few things they came up with.

Finally congratulations to this week's certificate winners - Banipreet and Austin.
It was good to be back at school. We are continuing to practise for Cross Country and do the Footsteps Dance Programme. We are also doing some Science experiments. This week R14 went to R11 to see what things would sink and float.
R14 has a weekly library time which the class really enjoys.
