Rimu Athletics and fire engine visit

An exciting week this week. We had Rimu Athletics on Thursday, we were lucky the rain stayed away. It started with a rotation through all the different events and then we had the semi-final and final 50m races. Congratulations to everyone! In Room 14 Isla came first for the 6 year old girls and Muhammad was 1st for 7 year old boys and Toby was 3rd. Awesome work.

The firemen and fire engine also came for a visit. We have been learning about Fire and what to do. Get down, get low and get out - FAST. Room 14 were fascinated by the equipment they wear and had lots of questions. We enjoyed getting low and getting out FAST with a blanket taking the place of smoke. The fire engine was fun and Toby managed to squirt me with the hose!

Music concert and Making Barfi

We thoroughly enjoyed our music concert. Even though we were a little nervous to perform in front of our parents, we were super excited. The Rimu Nui team and Ms Landall did a fabulous job.

For a delayed Diwali treat we made some Barfi during Discovery Time.  Thank you very much Mrs Bhatia for organising and supervising this.

Finally a big congratulation to Dezire for moving levels for Phonics!

Term 3 Week 10 Fruit kebabs

After reading the book Kepapa Huarākau (Fruit Kebabs) during Te Wiki o te Reo Maori we decided to make some in our last week of term. We invited Room 23 our buddy class to join us. We had so much fun making and then eating them!!
