Term 3 Week 9 - Police dogs & clay pottery

 What a fun week!  We had a visit from some police dogs and learnt heaps of interesting things. Police Dogs are German Shepards. They can run 65km per hour! They have a great sense of smell and their main role is to track. They are trained until they are 2 years old and then continue working until they are about 8 years old. 

                                      

We were also very lucky to have Fiona and Darren, parents at the school, come in and show us how to do some clay pottery. We made pinch pots, coil pots and then anything we wanted. We are looking forward to the results once they have been in the kiln.
