We had fun during Te Wiki o te Reo Māori learning a new phrase each day. We also read lots of books in Māori and sang some songs.
We also had Wheels day on Rāpare. Kids, scooters, bikes and skateboards everywhere.

We really enjoyed Tongan Language week. We sung some Tongan songs and practised a couple of Tongan phrases.
We also had a visit from some students who showed some of the taonga from their families. We also enjoyed wearing Tongan shirts or bright clothing on Friday.
Rimu Nui have started meeting in the morning for our School Pepeha and song and sometimes for a bit of fitness.
We also had Phil come to talk to us about what to do if someone is being unkind online (the first two work for offline too!)

Congratulations to Uluaki who is now on the next Phonics level!!
We have had a busy week. We did some printing with leaves. We were practising this for the next art that we are doing.
We also had the opportunity to play some Wooden games with our buddy class Room 23. It was so much fun!
Finally congratulations to our Certificate winners this week. Muhammad, Frida and Aurora. Well done!!
In Maths we are looking at making different numbers. First, inspired by this book we used different animals to make numbers. For example 13 is 1 crab, a person and a snail. 45 could be 4 crabs, 2 people and a snail or 4 crabs, a dog and a snail.
Then we used some dominoes to make different numbers. We found many different ways to make them! Here we are making 14.
Here is Charlie finding different ways to make 16.We had Rimu assembly this week and this term we are looking at Superheros at Owairaka. We had a special guest - Rachel from reception came to talk to us about her job.
Congraulations to our certificate winners this week - Zoe, Toby and Mason for their great work in class. Kristina for going to the next stage with her Phonics - well done!
