Term 1 Week 8- Project Jonah, Wheels Day and Certificates.

Project Jonah came to visit our school and they told us all about the amazing marine mammals that are right here by our coastlines!

Our second Wheels Day was great fun and were pleased to raise some money for St Johns Ambulance. 

We also had our first Rimu assembly of the term and a big Congratulations to our certificate winners - Zoe, Isla,

Mason and Uluaki.

Term 1 Week 7 Book week

 There were some fabulous costumes in Room 14 for book day. 

We also had a dressed up dog and some certificate winners! Well done to everyone.

Term 1 Week 6

We have been learning about how to take care of our iPads and show some of our learning with iPads. Phil has taught us to:

• Hold my iPad with two hands

• Hug hold my iPad when moving around

• Keep my iPad on a sensible surface

• Only four iPads in a pile

• Don't leave my iPad on its own

• Keep my iPad clean and dry

We are also learning how to use the Camera and Explain everything to capture out learning.

We have continued with Problem Solving in maths and looking at the different groups we could put 17 blocks into. How many groups of 2, 5, 10 and 3? How many are left over?

Term 1 Week 5

This week in P.E we have been practising our throwing. We used bean bags and hoops and tried both underarm and overarm throwing. We threw in hoops, through hoops, over and under them too. We finished the week by playing a game of Space Invaders! We had lots of fun.

What a blast we had on Wheels Day. Scooters and bikes everywhere. We also were completing our portraits and doing a Hundreds board jigsaw puzzle.
